Welcome to Coeur d' Coeurs! I'm Krissy, a freelance graphic designer living in sunny Southern California. Coeur d' Coeurs launched in 2012, but has been the product of a very long design process. What began as a Senior project to create an interior design magazine à la Domino {the publication which inspired me to become a designer in the first place} evolved into a complete lifestyle blog. Through Coeur d' Coeurs I hope to share with my readers the things I'm most passionate about - interior design, graphic design, fashion, food, music, television, and cinema. All of these things I share are what I'm creatively inspired by.... They're the things that make me swoon a little bit. And who wants to go through life without those little things along the way that make your heart happy? After all, Coeur d' Coeurs does mean 'Heart of Hearts'. Along the way you'll also get to see snippets of my life in Los Angeles with my husband and two dogs, Turk & Kiwi.
Color and pattern should be applied lavishly.
It's never too early in the morning for eyeliner and mascara.
Playing dress up should be taken advantage of at every opportunity.
Find what you like to do and do it.
It's pretty much a guarantee that if you find yourself doing the things you enjoy
you'll naturally be really, really good at it.
Pinning all day is a totally acceptable thing to do.
It's okay to wear your favorite color everyday. Especially if that color is pink!
Champagne should not be reserved for special occasions only.
I like to celebrate Fridays with bubbly.
And if I'm really lucky, there will be pizza too.
Never compare yourself or your work to another person's.
It will only make you anxious and miserable for no good reason.
Besides, why would you want anything you do to be like anyone else's?
